I delivered those cemetery flowers I made yesterday. They seemed well suited for the dying grass and the nearby trees’ changing leaves. It was also the last day of the annual Sorghum Festival, so Robin and I hit the town. It was the best time to go because there were so few people, and since they widened Main Street, it wasn’t crowded at all. There weren’t nearly enough artists for my liking, and there didn’t seem to be as many food vendors as they’ve had in the past. The local churches used to each have a booth, and their homemade foods were a real treat. Still, I saw some people I love, and that’s never a bad thing, and the weather was exceptional. Lord Basil and Scrappy hung out at Aunt Robin’s for the duration, so they’re sleeping soundly after a romping afternoon with her dogs. It was a gorgeous day for an adventure, complete with a Freezer Fresh banana milkshake.
