We started at Bloomfield’s Nettie Jarvis Antiques at last week’s BGT deTour. This shop is chock-full of antiques, but more than that, they’re arranged in intriguing displays like this one basking under the light of an old Maybelline sign. I remember such signs in drug stores, beckoning women young and old to peruse the eye makeup. I especially remember the mascara. In any case, Linda Bruckheimer is intimately involved with the displays throughout the store, including the displays of her photography books and postcards. Her work is quite good. If you’ve got a free Saturday, feast on these antiques in Bloomfield.
